The setting affects the mood because… The setting in a way shows how the boys feel. Because they are locked away in the basement/lab and can’t leave the room for any reason. The basement is the main setting of the story. Otherwise it is the house in general. At least until the boys break free. The basement is where everything takes place. The test, the charts, recording data, how much they improve, where they get fed. Also where Connor and riley visit to see if the boys have improved, and everything else that happens so far. This takes place all throughout day and night.

The setting affects the mood because… The setting in a way shows how the boys feel. Because they are locked away in the basement/lab and can’t leave the room for any reason.
